Rev. Brian W. Secor was born in Elkhart, Indiana and grew up in the Elkhart County area. He attended schools in Nappanee, Baugo Township, Syracuse and graduated from Fairfield High School.
He attended and graduated from Taylor University in 1974 with a Bachelor's of Arts in History. It was at Taylor that he came to the Lord Jesus and met his wife, the former Sharon Tucker of Roanoke, Indiana. They were married in 1973 and have two children.
He attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, graduating with a Master of Divinity in 1978. He was ordained a deacon and an elder in the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church and served United Methodist Churches in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana for over twelve years. He left the United Methodist Church due to doctrinal and social issues.
He served the Blue River Community Church in the Columbia City area for over six years and is currently self-employed, offering tax preparation and insurance services.
He served Broadway Christian Church from February 2014 to April, 2015, along with fellow minister of the Gospel, Rev. Chris Thurow.
Rev. Secor is committed to Jesus Christ and honoring him in all dimensions of his life. He loves the church, holds it in high esteem and believes the best days for this church are yet to come. He is committed to expository preaching and believes that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God and offers the only hope to any person wanting to understand reality and the truths of life.
